Samoa

The island of Upolu in Western Samoa is a small island in the South Pacific with a land area of 1115sq km. The island is rich in lush tropical forests, waterfalls and beautiful beaches. The center of the island consists of mountainous hills, while the coastline is mostly beach, with some lava cliffs. The majority of the population lives around the coast, in villages or in the main town on the north coast, Apia.

There are abundant opportunities for cultural exchanges, sightseeing, surfing, windsurfing, snorkeling and fishing among other water sports, as well as hiking and shopping for local handicrafts in the markets in Apia.
