Manoa Tours – Epic! Epic, the only word to describe the waves in samoa is, epic. I just got back from a trip there recently in april, the first time I’ve ever surfed overseas and everyday the waves were perfect 3-5ft the whole time! Our surf guide Neil knew everything to know about samoa surf-wise and other wise. He took us to the best waves everyday with out fail almost all the time we scored perfect waves with only a few to no others out! when we were surfing Neil was always keen to recommend sights to see and other thing to experience in samoa. Without our guide the holiday definitely wouldn’t have been as good as it was. I would highly recommend going to samoa and would definitely consider coming back.  Dom, Sydney, Australia.

What a trip! i just came back from an overseas trip from Samoa, we went there to surf and we definitely found it thanks to Neil, he knew every break like the back of his hand. We got to the best spot everyday thanks to Neil, it was either a quick boat ride or a fun car trip. The waves where perfect 4-6ft everyday, he got us to the breaks before the people at Mananoa had even woken up. I will be coming back when i get older to surf. i would recommend to anyone wanting a family/surfing holiday that this is the place. I loved Samoa, it was so mellow. The best week of my life thanks to Neil.

Boys Surf Trip! Just returned from a week in Samoa and thanks to Manoa Tours we scored good waves. We pre-booked before arriving in Samoa which meant we didn’t have to think about where to go and how to get there. Our guide gave us clear options regarding surf potential and was happy to take us by boat or land at any time of the day depending on tides and wind etc. He also enabled us to be in the water at dawn to surf alone well before other operators showed up. When the surf was flat he took us snorkeling and visited waterfalls etc showing us what this beautiful island has to offer. Great service – See you when I come back!   Neil did a fantastic job of finding the best surf spots every day around the south side of the island. He took me to different parts of the coastline to see the variety of waves, only thing that could have been improved was the swell size which obviously we can’t control.   He even took me to some of the natural attractions on the island like the rock slides, waterfalls and to Sua Trench! Neil is awesome!   We stayed at Sinalei for a week in July and used the services of Neil for a week whilst we were there. He is an extremely experienced surf guide who knows all the local breaks. Not only does he have superior knowledge about the waves etc, he also is very friendly and goes above and beyond to provide you with a fantastic experience.    My boyfriend surfs and Neil was always available to take him to the breaks whenever he wanted to go. He also provided him with some great surfing tips and was really supportive. I can barely surf (!), but Neil made sure that I jumped off the boat and got to paddle around in the warm ocean with the boys. He made sure at all times that I was safe and happy. He also took us for a boat ride to see the turtles.

We are returning to Samoa again next year….in part to spend more time surfing with the fab Neil.  Highly, highly recommend Manoa tours!!  Thanks,   Ash and Shawn

Best surf trip – Neil from Manoa Tours really showed us great waves on the reef just west of Coconuts on the south coast. He made it a real fun time with his enthusiasm & powerful wave riding. We had 8 out of 9 days with top surf each day. A trip to Boulders was a highlite with sheltered huge waves. Neils experience & knowledge of the area is a must for anyone visiting Samoa (Upolo) The warm water is a bonus ! Ronald D

Another Excellent Review  I came across Manoa Tours on the internet while researching a surf trip to Samoa.  From the first email contact with Galen to the last boat trip with Neil, we were looked after with enthusiasm and stoke that was backed up with experience and knowledge.  Galen was happy to answer our multitude of pre-trip questions and helped to organise and confirm our accommodation. While Neil made sure that we paddled into some of the best and least crowded waves that I’ve experienced in many years of surfing in the tropics.  Thanks for a great trip guys.

Best trip – Recently went to Samoa (Upolo) with my partner and stayed on the south side of the island at Sinnelai Reef Resort where Manoa Surf Tours is located. I scored the best waves the island had to offer and this was all thanks to Neil from Manoa Tours. Neil knows the island back to front from his years of experience and you will always surf the best spot at the best times. Very tidal so a surf guide is essential and if you really want the very best I wouldn’t go past Manoa Tours. He froths on surfing and will be keen to surf as much as you can !! His boat makes surfing the outer reefs very easy but if there’s waves on the other side of the island he’s not afraid to drive either !! Inbetween surfs he did island tours for us and seen all the sights the island had to offer. STRONGLY recommend and plan to be back ASAP!!!! Alex K

 Perfect family adventure!  I know this review is too long in coming, but our family was looking through our vacation photos last night and I remembered that I’d never gotten around to this, and families need to know about Manoa Tours!

First off, I realize that most of these reviews are for surf tours, but no one in our family surfs! We were traveling to Samoa as an American family with three kids ranging from 12 down to 6, and not a clue as to where to stay or what to do. We contacted Neil (owner of Manoa Tours) to help us out, and he absolutely made our trip. What all the other reviews say about how well he knows the island is absolutely true. He was able to help us with everything, both before we left home and once we were there. Before we left home he helped us through email with accommodations (finding us really unique places that we loved, but were also budget-friendly), car rental, practical needs, and restaurant recommendations. Once there we used him many days as our adventure guide. Because he has a young son himself who he has raised on Samoa, he understands exactly what sorts of adventure will thrill kids without giving their parents a heart-attack. He took us out on his boat to watch the surfers from up-close (he was able to safely maneuver the boat into reef trenches so that the waves broke right next to us, but never on us). Also from his boat we tracked down sea turtles and visited an amazing secluded beach we had all to ourselves for swimming, snorkeling, and playing in the sand. He took us on other days to waterfall rock slides, water caves, jumping cliffs, and hiking trails that we would never have found on our own. I could tell that he had a real eye for safety and caution, always testing everything himself before he let us do it, and always keeping a close watch on the kids while encouraging them to let loose and have a blast.

If you have kids and are thinking to travel to Samoa for a family vacation we highly recommend that you contact Neil! He will tailor your trip specifically to your family and kids and give you a trip that is equal parts adventure thrill and serene relaxation.
